My wife and I had a wonderful experience thanks to Ana at the reception. From the moment we arrived, she went above and beyond to ensure that all our needs were met. Ana was not only extremely professional but also kind, patient, and always willing to help everyone around her. Her warm smile and genuine care for guests made us feel right at home. We are truly grateful for her excellent service and hospitality. Thank you, Ana, for making our stay even more special!"Rosemary is one of the best stuff in the restaurant. Also other stuff and the food and service was excellent. Try it.

I loved the property! It was a really beautiful property. We stayed on the adult only side, I really liked Ana at the front desk and David at guest services. Victor, was the best professional driver and made sure we didn't miss out excursion. And Yordan our house keeper made the room very special for us with roses and made sure we had a fully stocked min fridge everyday. The cigar employee Rosa, was very rude. On the first day my husband bought a cigars and a new lighter. She was refused to help him located a chocolate cigar, and sold us a lighter they stopped working after a few days. My husband and I went back the cigar shop several times during our trip and each time she was very rude to us. On the last night before we left, we tried to exchange the lighter. She refused to look into the book to see our purchase. KEEP ALL YOUR RECEIPTS!!!! Or take a picture. At the end of the day she refused to exchange the lighter due to us not having a the receipt. Her customer service we terrible. That was the only down side to the trip.

I prefer not to write a negative review of any business, but after staying in this hotel, I feel compelled to share my experience. Our wedding was in the Dominican Republic many years ago and it was unforgettable. Since then, we decided to come back and celebrate our anniversary in this beautiful country from time to time. Unfortunately, we chose the wrong hotel this time (Hotel Catalonia Royal Bávaro). We booked a special room with early check-in, late check-out based on availability, champagne upon arrival with chocolate and fruits, and other benefits. However, things did not go as planned. We arrived early, and the room was not ready, which was understandable. However, even after our regular check-in time, the room was still not prepared. After spending an hour at the front desk, we finally checked in. To our surprise, instead of champagne, chocolate, and fruits, the room was full of ashes and smelled like a cigar shop. The manager asked us to clean the room again, and we agreed. After a few more hours at the beach, we returned to a room that was as expected (thanks to the manager who was very nice). The rest of the days were great. On the day of our anniversary, we had a fantastic dinner at the beach with excellent service and food. However, another surprise awaited us. When we returned to the room, neither of our keys worked. I went to the front desk, and the receptionist said I had to pay for the room to get in (even though I had given my credit card at check-in). I only had my phone with me, and for some reason, Apple Pay didn’t work. The front desk representative then sent me back with a coworker to my room so I could pay with an actual card. To my surprise, the coworker didn’t take the card to open the room. We had to return to the lobby, get the card from the room, and go back to the room. When he finally opened the room, it was decorated with rose petals, but unfortunately, the romantic gesture was lost as we had to enter the room before him.I hope this information helps you make your decision.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Catalonia Resort with my mom and sister, and I must say, our experience was made truly unforgettable thanks to the exceptional service provided by Ezequiel and Sandra. From the moment we arrived, Ezequiel and Sandra welcomed us with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm, instantly making us feel at home. His attention to detail and dedication to ensuring we were well taken care of went far beyond our expectations.Ezequiel and Sandra took the time to understand our needs and preferences, ensuring every aspect of our stay was perfect. Whether it was arranging special accommodations for my mom, recommending the best spots around the resort, or simply checking in on us throughout our stay, his level of care was unmatched. He even went the extra mile by surprising us with beautifully arranged room setups and thoughtful touches that made us feel like VIP guests. The 5-star accommodations were stunning, but it was Ezequiel’s outstanding service that truly elevated our experience. His professionalism, kindness, and commitment to creating memorable moments for his guests are truly commendable. Ezequiel is a shining example of what hospitality should be, and we are incredibly grateful for the incredible experience he provided. We cannot wait to return!

All inclusive hotel should make the trip as much easier as possible. But here we had to constantly make reservations to be able to have dinner, Italian restaurant served undercooked food (salmon and pizza, also I had to return my plate with raw omelet). The prices here for anything essential is over the roof (we had to pay 10 dollars for a lighter and 45 dollars for sunscreen). Also, all our purchases got double charged, because we paid in the store, but at the checkout they made us pay again in order to leave the hotel.Scam, dissatisfaction and will never come back here again.Great location, some personnel is good, but they all working for tips and only after you put a dollar on the table-they will give you a good service.

Our stay at Catalonia Royal was a major disappointment and did not meet our expectations. The hotel staff were often unfriendly and distant towards European guests. We felt that people of a different background were treated with noticeably more warmth and attention, while our service was cold and sometimes even reluctant. We often had to wait for basic things, such as water, which was provided without a smile or a sense of hospitality. Additionally, a significant portion of the staff either didn’t speak English or didn’t want to, which made communication difficult. The food quality was mediocre, and the selection was very limited. On several occasions, the plates were chipped, and once, we were served water with ants in it, raising concerns about the restaurant’s cleanliness. Furthermore, some of the restaurants and one of the pools were closed without prior notice, forcing us to use the buffet in the family area despite having booked the adults-only section. While the beach was cleaned daily, it was still full of seaweed, making it difficult to enjoy the surroundings. Additionally, we were frequently approached by vendors selling tours and souvenirs, which disrupted the tranquility of the beach. One persistent vendor repeatedly pretended to be a car, approaching us with “beep beep” sounds, making relaxation nearly impossible. The room conditions also fell short of expectations. Our fridge didn’t cool properly, so drinks were not cold, and the water pressure in the bathtub was so low that filling it would take hours, which was very inconvenient. There were also no power outlets near the bed, which was uncomfortable. In the à la carte restaurants, we encountered a peculiar situation – we were encouraged to write a positive review on Google under the supervision of the staff, who sometimes attempted to enter the comment themselves. This made us suspect that many of the high ratings, especially those mentioning staff names, might be coerced, reflecting a controlled review policy. The entertainment offered by the hotel was also limited – there were no activities targeted at guests aged 20-40, like silent discos or themed nights, which are common in other hotels. The activities were repetitive, mostly limited to bingo, and didn’t meet our expectations.Additionally, when we requested a late check-out, we were ignored while the front desk attendant chatted with someone else in Spanish, then quickly told us it wasn’t possible without checking availability. On the plus side, the room cleaning service was of a high standard, and the hotel’s grounds were beautifully maintained with lush greenery. We also appreciated the quiet reading areas with books available for guests. The staff responsible for cleaning the beach, pools, and gardens genuinely cared for the hotel environment.Despite our high hopes for a special holiday celebrating my husband’s 30th birthday, this stay turned out to be one of our worst hotel experiences.

We recently spent our honeymoon at Catalonia Royal Bávaro, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such warmth and hospitality that made us feel incredibly special. One of the highlights was definitely the room—our private pool was absolutely amazing! It was such a treat to have that little slice of paradise all to ourselves. The drinks were fantastic, but the food has some room for improvement. We’d like to give a special shoutout to Marta from the spa. Not only was she incredibly professional and sweet during our massage session, but she even remembered us afterward! She found us at the beach later in the day and asked how our tours were going, which we had mentioned to her in passing. That level of care and attention was truly touching. The other person who made our stay extra special was Ana from the reception desk. She is a gem! Ana went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect honeymoon. From her warm welcome to checking on us every single day, she truly made us feel cared for. She even surprised us with a lovely gift in our room, which made the experience all the more memorable. Her kindness and dedication are unmatched.Overall, we had a wonderful time at Catalonia Royal Bávaro, and it will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Our stay at Catalonia Resort was nothing short of spectacular, and we owe so much of our incredible experience to Ezequiel. From the moment my mom, sister, and I stepped into the resort, Ezequiel made it his mission to ensure we were treated like royalty. His warm, welcoming demeanor and exceptional attention to detail made us feel immediately at ease. Ezequiel was not just attentive; he went above and beyond in every aspect of our service, making our stay truly unforgettable.Ezequiel’s personalized approach was remarkable—he took the time to understand our needs and made sure that every little request was met with a smile and a solution. Whether it was organizing special amenities for my mom, providing spot-on recommendations, or even surprising us with beautifully arranged touches in our room, Ezequiel’s dedication was evident. His commitment to ensuring our comfort and happiness was unparalleled, elevating our experience to a true 5-star level.Ezequiel’s incredible service made us feel valued and cared for, turning a beautiful vacation into an extraordinary one. His genuine kindness, professionalism, and passion for what he does set him apart, and we cannot thank him enough. We highly recommend Catalonia Resort, especially when you have someone as fantastic as Ezequiel taking care of you.

What a magnificent experience. It was my first time at an all-inclusive resort, and I can say that I loved it and want to do it again. I stayed in a Junior Suite, which, despite being the cheapest option on the property, was huge, featuring two queen beds, a sofa, a pull-out bed, a balcony, a stocked minibar (included in the daily rate), and a large bathtub in the bathroom. The resort's facilities are spectacular. The main pool is enormous with beautiful landscaping, several hot tub areas, and varying depths. There’s also a smaller pool for kids. The beach is very calm, with no waves, and the water is pleasantly warm and crystal clear, allowing you to see the fish swimming close by. There are numerous "bungalows" with chairs for you to lounge and relax on the soft white sand. Every day, a cleaning crew comes by to remove seaweed, in case that concerns you. If you want to get away and find a quieter stretch of beach, just walk to the left.I found the food options sensational. The two main self-service restaurants offer a TON of choices to please every palate. I was truly surprised in this regard, as the three main meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) were true banquets. The other optional restaurants (which are included in the rate, just requiring a reservation) are also fantastic. I dined at the Italian (Terrace) and the American (Rodeo Steak House) and loved it.Regarding the service: I also thought it was good. Like anywhere, there will be people who provide great service and others who are a bit grumpy and less friendly. I had a mix of experiences, but nothing that bothered me. Overall, most staff members were polite and friendly, making an effort to provide good service.About tips: if it won't be a burden for you, give! It’s not mandatory at all, and most people don’t tip. When you do, their gratitude is noticeable. I didn’t feel that I received better or worse service because of it. I just wanted to be kind when I could, leaving one or two dollars per meal or occasionally when ordering a drink at the bar, as I was generally well taken care of.Additionally, there are various activity options: dance, games, shows, nightlife... you just have to find what you enjoy and makethemostofit!

Beautiful place, food very tasty, service was brilliant. People were very kind, helpful, smiling a lot. We were served by Rosemary. We are very thankful for her. Just a pleasure to communicate with her. Incredible. Just what you need for all inclusive vacations. Clear perfection 🙂🙂🙂🙂

What an amazing resort! My wife and I have now been here two years in a row and will continue to come! The main reasons we like it are because it's relatively small and quiet (not a party resort at all). Everyone is very respectful and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. We have spoken with a few other guests and they all say they are repeat customers...I can understand why!Ezequiel at Sea Blue was amazing! Looked after us very very well and had a great attitude! Definitely recommend going to Sea Blue.

Flor from the piano bar was absolutely amazing! Ana from front desk was very helpful. Please don’t waste your money go somewhere else. My wife and I received constant harassment from staff about buying excursions, about becoming rewards members. It was so bad we had to avoid certain areas of the resort. I wish I could be money back, my wife and left a day early!

I had such a fun time coming for my brother and friend’s birthday! Entertainment Antonio and Alfredo gave us the best experience and helped us join so many fun activities. It was an overall great experience and I would definitely be coming back.

My party of twelve had a wonderful experience. The service was excellent and the meal was also excellent. Rosemary and Sandra were the best servers you could ask for. I highly recommend this experience.

Leonel made our stay the best. He brought all the good vibes at the swim up bar and made sure we had fun everyday. The room service people were helpful. The only reason I gave 4 stars for the room was because they had no wash cloths lol, so bring your own! The location was nice. It was very chill. If you wanna party be at the swim up bar from 10am-6pm. The food was very mid could’ve been better.

So, when you arrive at reception they tell about the nice services they offer but in the practice its very chaotic. You have to talk to 4 employees to get one thing done. It is really frustrating here the fridge in my room is broken I couldn’t enjoy any of the drink of the minibar. Whenever you call for room service they usually DO NOT pick up. The AC in my room had no regulator only freezing or nothing at all. I got very cold and asked for blanket which they never sent. So I got really sick during my stay and went to the only doctor there is and had to pay around $500 (180 for consultation and rest in meds) waiting between 2 - 3 hours to get attended. Take into account that If you dont tip often you never gonna get decent service here. I cant deny most of the empolyees are nice but they are so inefficient. You have to repeat everything over and over to get it done. And of course you “must” tip to get something done rapidly. I complained a lot about the room and they did change it for a one with a working AC but the minibar fridge is still broken 😞 Impossible to enjoy a beer or a sprite in the room. Also be careful with cutting yourself because the plaster will cost you a fortune. The italian restaurant is a big No No btw. The peruvian is ok may be. The best one has been the Mediterranean restaurant. Overall, we surely wont be back.

Rosemary and Dario were great with their service and was the best dinner experience thus far. Would highly recommend the Dominican Sushi Roll at Tao Cat.Daniel, Jefferey, and Flora at the Piano bar were exceptional as well throughout our stay. They made our experience so much better than expected.I forgot the gentleman’s name who tended to my fiance and I but all around very very happy and made my engagement trip for my Fiance very special.
