NDPRO 2025-Season Recap

Q&A with Coach Blaine Cook

PGHD: How would you sum up the season for your squad?

This season was a rollercoaster, but in the best way possible. We started off a bit rocky, but as the games went by, we found our rhythm and played with a lot of heart. Our growth throughout the season was impressive, and by the end, we were really hitting our stride and playing as a cohesive unit.

PGHD: Do you have any fun memories to share with us from the season?

One of the best memories from the season was our Concordia Championship. The group went 4-0 and battled some quality competition.

PGHD: How did your team overcome adversity?

We faced quite a bit of adversity this season, from injuries to tough losses, but what really helped us overcome these challenges was our resilience and teamwork. We leaned on each other, stayed focused on our goals, and used each setback as an opportunity to learn and grow stronger as a team.

PGHD: What are a few things your team improved on?

Throughout the season, we really improved our defensive schemes and communication on the court. We also became more disciplined with our shot selections and learned to execute plays more effectively. Our overall teamwork and trust in each other also grew significantly.

PGHD: Who was your top shooter?

Our top shooter(s) this season were Emma Osborn Emma Osborn 6'0" | PF Fargo South | 2025 State ND , Sabrina Staab Sabrina Staab 5'7" | PG Sheyenne | 2026 MN , and Libby Suckert Libby Suckert 5'9" | SF Park Christian | 2026 MN . What sets them apart is their incredible accuracy and ability to stay calm under pressure. They have a quick release and a great sense of timing, which makes them a reliable asset for us, especially in tight situations.

PGHD: Who was your best rebounder?

Libby Suckert Libby Suckert 5'9" | SF Park Christian | 2026 MN & Elise Beckerwere our best rebounders. Their success on the boards came from relentless hustle and positioning. They both have a great knack for reading the ball’s trajectory and never giveup on a play, which really contributed to our success in controlling the game’s tempo.

PGHD: Who was your best defensive player?

Annika Johnson was our standout defensive player. Her defensive prowess comes from her exceptional anticipation and ability to read the opponent’s plays. She’s not afraid to put in the hard work and is always in the right place at the right time, which makes her a key part of our defensive strategy.

PGHD: Any last comments/thoughts on the season?

Overall, this season was a rewarding experience. We faced challenges, celebrated victories, and most importantly, grew as a team. I’m proud of how far we’ve come and excited about the future.
